The Steps You Need to Take for a Smooth Divorce

The second is that Florida is a “No-Fault” State meaning that lawyers cannot write the fault of a particular party in the petition for divorce in order to get the divorce granted. There are only 2 reasons for divorce. The first is that it is “Irretrievably broken”, which means you can no longer live together. The second reason is due to “Mental incapacity”, which requires that the spouse be adjudged incapacitated for at least 3 years before submitting the petition. Be advised that with a divorce counseling might be required. 

Once the process to dissolve your marriage starts other areas of the law might come into consideration such as: alimony or custody.
